Weekly Household Quick Tip

by confidentmom on January 9, 2012

As we head off into a new year and have goals to be more efficient with household tasks, I thought I would try to post a quick tip each Monday that will link to a task that is listed for the following week in the Confident Mom Weekly Household Planner.  Sharing ideas is how we can help each other out, so please feel free to leave a comment with your tip too!

Spot cleaning with a Magic Eraser

These little white rectangle cleaners by Mr. Clean are truly like magic.  If you have not used these before, you will be in for a surprise.  I love them for getting marks off walls, doors, counter tops or really any surface in your home.  Our homes take a beating, but with a little elbow grease you can make almost any surface look as good as new.

Grab a damp Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and take a cruise around your house and look for marks on the edge of doors, corners of walls, counters, and even your tile or linoleum floor.  If you little ones you can use their help by coming along for a hunt looking for marks that need cleaned up, sounds silly, but it can really be fun and can pass the time. It is an extra thing to do, but sometimes it is the little things that can make a big difference.

What tip can you share about how you might use a Magic Eraser in your home?

My kids have always been little artist’s and we have removed a lot of crayon from walls over the years with these “magical” erasers! Also, I love them for my white doors (especially around door knobs) and fridge door handles, takes the grime you can’t get with other cleaners right off! They are the best for cleaning kool-aid and popsicle stains off the counter as well!

Works great on cleaning dingy grout between ceramic tiles!
