So tonight as I sat watching yet another Little League game (two boys playing in two different leagues) I got a funny idea that I just had to pass along. Now, as busy family managers, we moms are always looking for time saving ideas to help with keeping the house tidy. I am rather ingenious too, which make sense now when I explain to you my idea.
As my son was playing his game tonight, I watched the home plate umpire call time, bend down and take his little whisk broom out of his pocket and you know……dust off home plate. This happens all the time and I am still not sure why tonight of all nights I got this notion.
How cool would it be if I had one of those little brooms in my pocket that had a little dust pan? I mean, no slowing down the show to swiftly tidy up a counter that has a few crumbs on it – just reach into the pocket, whip out the broom and ta-da, you are cleaned up! Or someone comes walking through the house with their muddy baseball cleats on and leaves a trail behind them – no more exasperated sighs as I make my way to the pantry to get the big broom and dust pan, but rather I just dip into my pocket and sweep that muddy trail right up.
Do you see just how efficient this could be? How it could make our job easier and our homes just a little more “picked up”? You could be like the inspector gadget of moms! What other tools could be just as helpful and kept in such easy access? I wonder……..any ideas?
So, there you have it, my quick post about my great idea of how I could go around my house looking like a home plate umpire, sweeping up crumbs in a blink of an eye with my little whisk broom. Yeah, maybe too much time at the baseball field has begun to take its toll on me. You have to admit though, it would be a great idea!
