As a busy mom I have to admit I am not always very creative with activities, especially for my youngest. Honestly, it had been quite a while since I had a young one in the house when our foster child “Little J” was placed with us a year and a half ago. I was more in the teen activity mode and nearly had forgotten how to play and have fun.
When I discovered BabbaCo Activity boxes, I knew I had to check it out. Ready made fun, all prepared and organized – just open and play!
What is a BabbaBox?
BabbaBox is a monthly, themed activity box delivered right to your home {or the home of someone you like – if you gift one} — with ALL materials necessary to complete multiple activities. They are geared towards kids aged 3-6 and come with easy to read instructions and mom friendly packaging. You can certainly tell it is packed with thought and care, which makes me feel special - all neatly placed in a box, ready for little hands to dive into!
In each box includes FOUR parts:
Creating :: 2-3 fully-supplied activities to complete with children – this month we had 3 gratitude projects
Exploration :: each box is theme-based around a topic for parents and kiddos to learn together – this month was taking pictures of what we are thankful for and creating a gratitude journal with our gratitude Camera that came in the box!
Storytelling :: an age-appropriate book in every box – we had “Giving Thanks” by Jonathan London that talked about going on a nature walk to experience the wonders of nature.
Connection :: each delivery offers prepaid downloads for more interactive learning – how cool is that?
This month’s theme was Gratitude. Our box was filled with all kinds of goodies inside and all organized. Each project was in separate bags, with
everything all prepared. It was perfect – no long directions to read, no frustration from mom it was all good!
I decided to take this box with us on our family vacation – perfect timing for some down time and fun activity. Interestingly enough, everyone participated – from my 2 ½ year old all the way up to my 15 year old – and hubby too! ( Pardon the photos with no faces, but due to privacy regulations I am unable to show photos of our foster child publicly – but after he is adopted, you will see a ton!)
As I took photos hubby got our little guy all painted up to create the Thankful Tray – complete with painted hand prints! We also had a Personalized Trivet to create, which my 15 year old took charge of, all on his own – crazy!
Since we are on vacation we will be using the Gratitude Camera that came included to take pictures of things we are thankful for and then creating a journal. I can’t wait to put this together and save it.
Tonight we will read the book that came along, “Giving Thanks” by Jonathan London, which I know will be a hit.
You also get access to information, more activities and learning tools online with a special access code. This box was packed full of enough activities and tools to keep everyone busy and engaged for over 3 hours – seriously! All that for only $29.99. I would say a great return on investment.
Make sure you enter for a chance to get your very own box delivered right to your doorstep. You can get 20% off your first box with the special discount code: CNM20OFF. Now, if that didn’t convince you to give it a try, BabbaCo is also offering the first 3 months of the membership for 33% off (Only $20 per box!). The coupon code at checkout for this is CM33BTS.
Need a birthday gift? Why not bless a child AND a mom with this unique gift that will surely be used and not just placed on a shelf. I will certainly keep this in mind as I join in the toddler/preschool birthday party circuit once again!
