Bible-verses

For many, this time of the year can be full of heartbreak, loneliness and feelings of loss.

There are times when you may feel as if you are alone. I know, even as a busy mom running around caring for my family, there are times I can feel very alone.  It is funny, even though my ministry is to thousands of woman all over the world, I can still feel alone and forgotten.  In the midst of chaos with 5 people running around inside our four walls, we can still feel alone.  It  happens to many people.  Maybe you are experiencing feelings of loneliness this season?

When I begin to feel very small and alone, I have to run to my Bible and grasp hold of the real truth.  Not the ‘feelings’ that I may be experiencing, but the real truth that God whispers into my ears, when I allow Him near.  It is usually when I may have gone a few more days than I should being away from His word that these feelings creep in.

Is it time for you to get new Hope from His word?

…and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28:30 NIV

In Matthew 28:20, Jesus, tells us that He is with us always, even to the ends of the World. That means that He never leaves you! Why would He. He loves you with an unconditional love and knows that for Him to leave you would be like throwing you into a dangerous pit.

The Bible is full of scriptures that remind us that God is always there for us.

“I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” Genesis 28:15 NIV

That means that whatever God has for you, He is there to help you finish it to completion. All it takes is for you to believe and receive!

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lordyour God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”   Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV

Simply put, God is right there for you and He will never let you down. We let ourselves down when we place false hopes and dreams in the midst of the path God has for us.

God has a specific plan set for each one of us. When we don’t follow the plan, it may appear that He is not there. However, even in the midst of the mess we create, there is God making a way out of what seems to be no way.

No matter what you may feel, the fact remains that God is right there with you, through it all! There is nothing that man can do that will cause God to turn from you when you are obedient to His Word and call on your life.

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,

“Never will I leave you;  never will I forsake you.”  So we say with confidence,  ”The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.  What can mere mortals do to me?”  Hebrews 13:5-6 NIV

Following God may seem like a lonely road and in terms of people sometimes it is. However, in terms of a Father who has more love for you than the world over, it is never true. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Lastly, my favorite verse and one that I have memorized to keep close to my heart….

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”  Romans 15:13  NIV

I pray these verses will give you some comfort, write one down and keep it close by.  Remembering He is always with us.

  1. Susan, thank you for this beautiful post! The scripture verses you shared are those promises from God’s Word that I needed to hear! I always know in my heart He is with me and loves me, but sometimes if I feel I may have disappointed Him, I need to hear how much He loves me and those verses were perfect, just like God! He always answers me in His perfect way, in His perfect timing. Merry Christmas!
