Make This A Summer To Remember!

Summer Survival MUST HAVE for Busy Moms!

2013-sumcal-column-transI’ve walked in your shoes! I’m a wife, mom, stepmom, foster mom, and adoptive mom, and like moms everywhere, I’ve experienced these same issues. I wanted a solution. After countless hours of research and work, I have that solution, and I want to share with you…it’s called the 2013 Summer Survival Calendar.

I scoured the Internet in search of budget-friendly, creative, and fun-filled activities that families can enjoy together and assembled them in The Confident Mom’s 2013 Summer Survival Calendar—I have done all the work for you, making your summer activities hassle-free!

The 2013 Summer Survival Calendar is a four month calendar with over 120 activities to blast boredom and increase family time. It features at least one low-budget (and sometimes free) activity, craft project, or kid friendly recipe every day from May 1 to August 31. The calendar comes in a digital PDF download so you have it instantly, and most activities include a clickable link so you can easily view directions or supplies needed. The activities are mainly targeted for ages 3-12, but every family and child is different.  The Summer Survival Calendar keeps kids busy, happy, and engaged during those long, hot summer days—and moms will find it to be a lifesaver when kids exhibit symptoms of the “boredom blues.”

Activities You’ll Enjoy

These activities are not only easy on your pocketbook, they will inspire your child’s creative side and allow you to enjoy time together. You’ll find things like making marshmallow shooters, scavenger hunts, tie-dye socks, and ice cream in a can to planting sunflowers, coffee ground fossils, painting with milk paint, outdoor twister, and making frozen yogurt dots.  There is no shortage of ideas to keep your child’s mind engaged! You’ll enjoy watching their faces light up when they spend time with you—these moments as a family are the ones they’ll remember forever!

New Activities Each Year

If you’ve purchased the Summer Survival Calendar in the past, you’ll be excited to know that the activities change each year – so you are receiving fresh, new content each summer.  More than 90% of the activities and recipes are new.  If you are new to the Summer Survival Calendar, I recommend purchasing the bundled package that includes 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 for only $10.  {This also includes the 10 Strategies for Your Best Summer Ever action guide and audio workshop – see more below!}

From the mouth's of mommiesI LOVE THIS! I can’t tell you how timely your Summer Calendar is for a mom like me. I really enjoy having some plans to help structure all our free time, and I’m always looking for fun crafts to do. I can’t believe how much research you’ve put into this. It’s like you read my mind and did all the work I figured I’d have to do myself. Most of all, I appreciate that the crafts, games and activities you’ve provided as click-able links in your calendar are free (or almost free)! And the recipes are fantastic. I can’t wait to make the ice cream in a bag and the banana chocolate chip muffins. This is a perfect summer calendar for any mom who wants to have good, healthy fun with their kids this summer but doesn’t have the time to research all the ways to make that possible.  Thank you so much!”

,The Mom Biz Coach,

I LOVE the new  The Confident Mom Summer Survival Guide! As the mom of an always active, potty-training two year old and an 8 month old baby, I always have trouble setting aside time to plan ahead for activities with my kids. My Pinterest boards may be full, and my brain is definitely full of great ideas, but the ingredients and supplies never make it into my schedule before the week begins, so they don’t make it onto my shopping list! Now, I have a summer full of great adaptable activities at my fingertips, including crafts and fun, kid-friendly recipes to use with my kids and their friends!

I really love the suggestion to have a family meeting to discuss the summer calendar. Hopefully this will give my husband the opportunity to be a part of more of our family activities throughout the summer, since we can pick days in advance that work for him.

I also love the addition of the special days each month and monthly “holidays”, like National Picnic Month and National Yo-Yo Day. These will be so much fun to add into our summer routine now that our almost 3 year old is so excited to learn new things and is constantly soaking in the world around him!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for creating such a practical, fun, and adaptable guide to summer activities for moms like me! I can’t wait to try the activities and to use them in conjunction with my Weekly Household Planner to create a smooth, fun, stress-free, and memory-making summer with my little ones!
